Devoted husband of Joan, beloved father of Julie (Bill) Tedder, Roger ""Rick"" (Leilani) Richter, Jr., Carl (Sarah) Richter and Diane (Dwight) Herrick. Beloved grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 3. Private burial at Fort Logan Cemetery. Memorial Service to be held Tuesday, June 9th, 3:30 pm at Columbine United Church, 6375 S. Platte Canyon Road, Littleton 80123. Roger was a 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner, Member of the American Legion, VFA, 11th Combat Engineers Alumni (Korea), Sigma Phi Epsilon/Colorado School of Mines Alumni; International Order of Old Goats and the Golden K Kiwanis Club. Commendable outstanding service: Kiwanis Club; Fort Logan Mental Health Citizens' Advisory Board; Co-founder of Big Sisters of Colorado; Co-organizer of Girls' Clubs of Colorado; Southwest Denver Community Center; Beaver Ranch camp for Boys and Girls and continuous church service. Business credits include: President and Chairman of Richter/Robb & Co., Vice-President of Providence Washington Insurance Company, President and CEO of Sheridan Savings and Loan; Co-Owner of Sheridan Travel Service; Western Pacific Insurance Network, Past National President of the American Association of Managing General Agents (insurance); U.S. correspondent for Lloyds of London; original member company of NAPSLO (surplus lines insurance), and numerous other business interests. Roger was an avid fisherman, skier, hunter and scuba diver and loved his cabin in the mountains. He will be sorely missed by the many lives he touched.
