Roger D. Venneberg Jr.

December 22, 1944 — December 25, 2019

Roger Dale Venneberg, Jr. was born on December 22, 1944 in Hays, Kansas and passed away on December 25, 2019.

He is survived by his two children, Christie (Darren) Parmenter, and Brian (Felicia) Venneberg , his four grandchildren, Hailey, Liliana, Jessica, & Emilee, and his two sisters, Janet Schmidt & Darlene Cole. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie, and his parents, Roger & Teresa Venneberg.

Roger grew up in Plainville, Kansas and graduated from Plainville High School in 1962. He married his wife, Jackie in August 1965 and then went on to serve as a Marine in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. Roger worked as a machinist for Sundstrand Aerospace for a total of 28 years, as well as other subsequent machinist positions throughout his career. He enjoyed fishing, working on muscle cars, and spending time with his family and friends.

A service to celebrate Roger's life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Avenue (Parker & I-225) for all friends and family. The family also invites you to join them for a reception immediately following the service, at the same location, to gather and share memories.
