Roland J. Hirsch

Our beloved Jerry passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa on October 29, 1949. Jerry graduated from East High School in Sioux City in 1967. He later graduated from Iowa State University in 1972 with a B.S. in Industrial Administration. Jerry was united in marriage to Dianne Raby in Sioux City on November 29, 1969. Jerry began his career at Square D Company, an electrical manufacturing business, in 1972 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa eventually being promoted to Plant Manager in Oxford, Ohio. In 1991 Jerry moved his family to Colorado where he went into partnership with his brother in law, Mark Raby, and purchased a small printing franchise that grew into NSO Press, a commercial printing business. Jerry was active in Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Junior Achievement and National Management Association. Jerry enjoyed traveling, exercise, skiing, golf, cooking, sporting events and was an avid reader and marathon runner. Above all he loved spending time with his family. Jerry is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dianne; son, Chad (Paula); grandchildren, Lauren and Kyle; parents, Roland and Bernetta Hirsch; brother, Derrick (Ethel) Hirsch; sisters, Terry Hirsch and Sherry (Jon) Jacobs. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 11500 E. Iliff Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, American Heart Association or the Children's Hospital Association.
