Romeo D. ""Romy"" Tamondong

Romy, 76, born in the Philippines on March 31, 1941 to the late Hilario & Marcelina Tamondong, passed away on June 16, 2017. He had a deep love for his family and a great dedication of service to others. He served for 22 years in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era and later received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Romy was a devoted husband, loving father and lovable grandfather. He was always ready to show us his ""happy dance"" and share unforgettable treasured stories. He enjoyed traveling to the United States to visit his children. These past 6 years was a testament to his fighting spirit. He was our superhero defying the odds. More so, he eagerly looked forward to the comfort of his ""paradise on earth,"" his hometown of Tebeng. Romy was well loved by many back home. He loved and laughed with those that surrounded him. Romeo has left us to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ. His legacy of love will live forever in our hearts. Romy is survived by his beloved wife, Milagros Saroca Tamondong; their children, Melissa (Emmanuel) Guizano, Romilyn (Jerald) Hulbert, Marian (Francis) Reside, Romano (Florence) Tamondong; grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua, Marc, Matthew, Evan, Jonathan, Karina, Julianna, and Jericho; his sister, Natalia; and many other loving family members and friends. Romy is preceded in death by his parents, Hilario Martinez Tamondong and Marcelina Daroy Tamondong; his grandson, Jacob; and siblings, Hilario, Maurita, and Alejandro. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11:00AM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 E. County Line Rd. Centennial, CO 80122. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Navy. A reception with light refreshment will be held immediately following the services. We welcome everyone that would like offer their final respect to our beloved father & also honor his military service.
