Ron T. Hutchinson

February 24, 1951 — July 25, 2017

Ron T. Hutchinson was born in Walla Walla, Washington on February 24, 1951 and after a short battle with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer, he entered into eternal life Monday, July 24, 2017 with his wife and daughter by his side. Ron is predeceased by his parents, Howard and Gladys Hutchinson, and survived by his wife of 41 years, Gloria, daughter Monika Coleman (Hans), son Ron H. Hutchinson (Elizabeth Elias), and fur children, Niko (dog) and Puffy (cat). He is also survived by his sister, Carol Hutchinson of Salem, Oregon, brother Rod Hutchinson (Ruth), nephew Jason Hutchinson (Tara), and niece Trista Lindsay (Tyler, Cooper, Addi) of Alberta, Canada, and many other relatives and loving friends. Ron was a proud Army Veteran, having served in Korea, Vietnam, and Berlin (fondly remembered as “Sargent Spark”); an avid fisherman, and a skilled handyman, who loved to help anyone in need. He is remembered by all who knew him as kind, caring, and dedicated to his family, friends, and work. He could always be found working on his impeccable yard (the greenest in the neighborhood!), fishing on his boat, cooking on his grill, or doing some other project around the house. Donations will be accepted into a Memorial Fund set up in Ron’s name. His daughter, Monika, has chosen to set it up this way in order to accept her company’s match to double the donations made. Donations will be split between the Colorado Basenji Rescue (where Ron and Gloria got their beloved dogs), and the Colorado Veteran’s Project. Donations can be made here: https://www.gofundme.com/ron-t-hutchinson-memorial-fund. For physical address, please email monika.coleman@gmail.com. For Ron's services, we request you come comfortable - no suits required, and minimal black please. Please share memories of Ron and condolences with his family by signing the guestbook below.
