Ronae B. Wortham

Ronae B. Wortham, born on January 19, 1940, passed away on July 16, 2024, at the age of 84. Known for her small stature and feisty attitude, Ronae led a vibrant and full life.

Ronae was born in the family apartment located above a department store in Long Prairie, MN, to Elmer and Iva as the youngest of 13 children, with eight brothers and four sisters. She was raised in Chelan, Washington, where she developed her strong family values and love for life. She fondly remembered swimming with her brothers, creating cherished memories that lasted a lifetime.

Throughout her years, Ronae held a variety of jobs, from being a school bus driver to working in retail management. She was married to the love of her life, Pete, for 51 wonderful years. A true family woman, she was deeply dedicated to her loved ones. She had a passion for music and dancing, which brought joy to many of her days. She was fiercely protective of her three children and was affectionately known as "Ninnie" or "Nana" by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her small dogs—Princess, Pepe, Sugar, Sandy, and Dolly—held a special place in her heart, and she loved spoiling them through the years.

Ronae was also a phenomenal homemaker, creating a warm and loving home for her family. She is survived by her three children: Michael (Michelle) Wortham, Rocklyn Wortham, and Cindy (Steven) Lewis. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jennifer (Josh) Kannegieter, Michelle Escamilla, Jessica (Alex) Mastellar, Stephanie Wortham, Randilyn (Gordon) Volk, Sara (Trevor) Fitzgerald, Marshall (Christine) Cornelius, and Codi Wortham (Josh Stofferahan). She also leaves behind 15 beloved great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, Robert Garlock of Washington and Donald Garlock of Arizona and many wonderful nieces and nephews. 

Her legacy of love and her spirited nature will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
