Ronald Leroy Arguello

August 20, 1953 — December 25, 2018

Ronnie Arguello, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away on December 25, 2018. He was born to Arthur and Margaret Arguello and raised in Pueblo, Colorado. He was blessed to have forty-five years with his soul mate and loving wife Christine. He was so proud of and loved his children and their spouses, Ron (Nicole) Arguello, Tiffany (Seth) Atchison, Jennifer Arguello, and Kenny Arguello. He adored and was in turn adored by his grandchildren, Arianna, Lilliana, Avalyn, and Codie, who lovingly called him Baca. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Margaret Arguello, and sisters and their spouses, Beverly (Ray) Saiz, Diana Green, and Brenda (Jose) Alvarado, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ronnie was first and foremost an extraordinary husband and father, and an amazing grandfather. He and Christy are a CU Love Story, having met in college and marrying 4 months later. He was a loving and supportive husband who sacrificed his career so that Christy could have her career. He was a ""Super Dad"" who worked fulltime as a public school teacher, took care of the house, his wife and kids, and his beautifully landscaped yard. He was an excellent cook, especially when it came to his his green chile (but watch out because he loved it super spicy). His chile and enchiladas were so enjoyed by others that his friends honored him with a T-shirt with the inscription, ""Best Chicano Chef."" He was an avid outdoorsman who loved the cabin he built and his family fondly remembers the many camping, fishing, and hunting trips he took with them. He was a devoted teacher for more than 35 years. He not only taught students, he made learning fun for his students, especially when it came to math and science. He inspired them to seek a higher education. When people asked him what he taught, he would respond, ""everything from math to manners.""

Ronnie was an incredibly kind and giving person who would drop everything to help anyone in need. He always had a smile on his face and a quick quip to make people laugh. He touched the lives of so many people.

Ronnie/Dad/Baca - Please know that you are so loved and missed by your family and friends and that your death has left a big hole in all of our hearts. We take some consolation in knowing that you are with your dad and brother, and Christy's mom and dad, and that some day we will celebrate when we see you again in the Kingdom of Heaven. In the meantime, know that we will always love you and that we will cherish the memories you have left us.

There will be a private family visitation to honor his life.
