Ronald (Jock) Vincent DiGiacomo August 8, 1943 - August 1, 2012 Born in Boulder, CO Preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Jean Ann DiGiacomo and parents, James and Mary DiGiacomo. Survived by his, Son, David (Michelle) DiGiacomo, grandchildren Aldo and Gina DiGiacomo and siblings Larry (Sandy) DiGiacomo and Marylin (Michael) Lasalle. He was raised and attended school in Louisville, Colorado. Ron served in the US Army for three years and continued to serve his country through his 30 plus years of work at Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant which was later renamed Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site. He was a hard worker and was an active member of United Steel Workers Local #8031. Ron was also a lifetime member of Elks of 39 years and a member of The American Legion Ron kept busy in retirement through his volunteer efforts; regularly serving at receptions provided to family and guest attending funeral services at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community. Ron and Jean love to past their retirement years traveling and enjoying going out to eat. But their favorite thing to do together was taking care of two beautiful grandchildren. A Public Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Sunday, August 5, 2012 with a Rosary to follow at 7:00. Both will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 6, 2012, 10:00 am at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, 7400 W. 80th Ave., Arvada. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery 12801 West 44th Avenue Wheat Ridge, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities Denver, 4505 Pecos St., Denver, CO 80211.
