75, of Lakewood, passed away May 17, 2018. Ron was born on February 18, 1943 in Denver, Colorado. As a proud Colorado native, he loved camping and seeing the sites of this great state. Ron spent 30+ years with Lockheed Martin prior to his retirement, and he was a member of UAW Local # 766. Ron is a United States Navy Vietnam-era Veteran. He was devoted to his family, he loved his dogs, and he loved to travel the United States; managing to see all but two states. Ron is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Mary Higginson; his sons, Gregg Higginson and Scott Higginson; his only granddaughter, Shyanne Higginson; one brother, Donald (Kathy) Higginson; nephews, Eric Higginson and Alex Higginson; his aunt, Shirley Egley; several cousins; and many friends. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Higginson and Pearl Guanero; as well as several aunts and uncles, his grandparents, and several of his many loyal dogs. A Graveside Service will take place on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 1:30pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. Please meet prior to the service at Staging Area B at the cemetery. A reception will follow the Graveside Service at Horan & McConatyâs Lakewood Chapel at 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood, Colorado.
