Ronald J. McHenry

Ronald J. McHenry, 82 of Aurora, Colorado passed away peacefully November 27, 2018. He was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania to his parents Edna and Daniel McHenry on January 6, 1936.

Ron joined the Air Force straight out of High School in 1954 and served 20 years before retiring in January of 1975. Following his career in the Air Force, Ron had the honor of working for McDonald Douglas. Ron taught at Adams City High School, Front Range Community College, Pickens Technical College and the Community College of Aurora.

Ron enjoyed spending time and sharing laughs with his family and friends. He also enjoyed wood working. Ron often volunteered at United Service Organizations and served as the State Deputy for the Knights of Columbus.

Ron is survived by Wife: Patricia Hancock- McHenry, Sons: Scott McHenry, Bryan McHenry (Sue), Patrick McHenry (Michele), and Step – Son: Kenneth Hancock (Hsi-Pin), Step - Daughter: Kimberly Cranston (Derick), Brother: Robert McHenry (Mary), Grandchildren: Taylor McHenry, Jordan Hinton (Ralph), Bailey Thomen (Alex), Morgan McHenry, James McHenry, Sophia McHenry, Anthony Hancock, Sarah Hancock and Angel Cranston, Great-grandchildren: Savannah Hinton, Sydney Hinton.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, First Wife: Elaine 1998, Son: Dean 2002, and Brother: Donald.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home (11150 East Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014), followed by Rosary at 7:00PM. Funeral Mass Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10:30AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (19099 E Floyd Ave, Aurora, CO 80013) with Reception to follow immediately after service. Graveside Service, December 3, 2018, 2:00PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery (12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033).
