Ronald Charles Mustain, 77, was born on June 17, 1946, and sadly departed our lives on December 3, 2023. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Julie; sister, Lannie and brother, Rand, along with countless other family and friends whose lives he had such an impact on.
Ron was born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in the Observatory Park Neighborhood which he loved so much and told many fun and fascinating stories about. He attended South High School, then eventually graduated from the University of Denver in 1969 where he excelled as a diver and a gymnast.
After enlisting into the military, where he served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps, Ron eventually returned to Denver where he built a wonderful life with his beautiful wife, Julie.
Ron had a passion for gardening and beautifying their yards by planting flowers, hanging windchimes, and placing creative decorative objects to make the gardens even more fun and exciting for others to see. Ron was often seen talking with any person who strolled down the sidewalk to just say "hello" to them and ask them about their day. Therefore, in 2004, Ron acted upon two of the most important passions in his life - The University of Denver and being outside planting flowers and beautifying the grounds. Ron began working at The University of Denver with the Facilities and Grounds Maintenance Department where he worked for 19 years.
Ron will be missed by so many, as he truly was a dynamic character who could say "hello" to a person and instantly have that person want to be part of his life forever. A very selfless man, Ron would drop everything he was doing to help someone else who suddenly asked him for his assistance. Ron was truly a "Free Spirit" who touched the lives of everyone who had the Honor of meeting him.
