Ronald Lee Walker departed for heaven from his home in Lakewood Colorado on July 8th, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at 1:30 p.m. at the Mount Air Church at 1390 Benton Street with burial at the Golden Cemetery at 755 Ulysses Street and reception to follow at The EDIT Club at 4:30 p.m. at 10576 W. Alameda Avenue. Ron was born in Denver on March 12th, 1955 to Kenneth and Darlene (Prouse) Walker and older brother Ken. He graduated high school from Arvada West and went on to complete his certification for - Steam Supervisor class ""A"". Ron spent many years in Iowa and worked various jobs including being a motorcycle mechanic. During this time his two children were born. He returned to Colorado to work alongside his father in the family business Walker Service. He was a tinkerer, an inventor and hobby welder who used his mechanical skills to accomplish many projects with friends and family. Ron was a good friend to many and was well known for his warm smile, gentle manner, his long hair and black clothes. He was a proud member of the Denver Hearse Association. He was a musician and spent years practicing his skill and collaborating with friends. Most recently Ron had been enjoying bird watching and in his typical style, was rigging up bird feeders on elaborate pulley systems. Ron loved the Lord and was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his son Jariah Lee Walker (Christine), grandchildren Drake & Alayna; daughter Megan Amanda Rose Augustin (Jake), grandchildren Walker & Atlee; Stepmother Delores Walker, brother Kenneth Walker and step-brother Erik Walker and his pup, Bruno.
