Roni Landis, age 60, died at Monaco Parkway Health and Rehabilitation on September 17th, 2015. She passed away from after battling a 2 year fight with cancer. Born March 1st, 1955 in East St. Louis, IL. She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and colleague. She loved her sports, but there was no team she loved more, than the St. Louis Cardinals. She lived in a number of cities and towns throughout the U.S. before settling in Denver, CO in the early 1980's. She was a long time employee at Coors Brewing Company, The Isle of Capri Casino in Blackhawk and with Sears, before joining the King Soopers family in 2003. She began as an Assistant Bakery Manager, was promoted to Bakery manager, and later to Assistant Store Manager. She remained an employee of King Soopers throughout her illness until the summer of 2015. She adored her job and all of the people she worked with at King Soopers. Survivors include: Marian Landis, mother, Florissant, MO Kelli O'Mara, daughter, Denver, CO Eddie O'Mara, son, Lakewood, CO Kaley O'Mara, granddaughter, Denver, CO Karon Brickson, sister, Florissant, MO Mark Landis, brother, Ballwin, MO Lynn Gomez, sister, Hemet, MO Roni was preceded in death by her father, Edward Landis, who died on May 30th, 2015. At Roni's request, there will be no services. However, there will be a private, final viewing for family and close friends on Tuesday, September 22nd. Taking care of her family was Roni's number one priority. In lieu of sending flowers, donations can be made to help cover the cost of final expenses and to start a college fund for Kaley.
