Rosabelle Maria Medina

Rosabelle “Rose” Medina, 76, of Denver, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 23, 1941 in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Claude Sr. and Elouise (Baca) Olguin. Rose married Louis Medina on August 2, 1958 and together they shared 32 years of marriage. Rose enjoyed spending time with her very large family and helped numerous people in any way that she could. She could always be counted on. She was a wonderful cook and made many dishes that her family and friends loved and still remember to this day. She loved to walk around Sloan’s Lake, see movies and drink wine with her friend Bonnie and read romance novels. She was always seeking adventure and even went white-water rafting once! She was also a very hard worker! At one point for a time of about 5 years, she was working 2 jobs. She would come home from Presbyterian/St. Luke's, change uniforms and go work at St. Anthony's. She always stayed busy making sure things were taken care of. She is survived by her children, Louie Medina and his wife Becky, Keith Medina, Maxine Weber and her husband Max, Dorothy Pacheco and her husband Gary, and Stephanie Olguin. Her grandchildren, Rose Escamilla (Luis), Maria Medina, Pamela Fitzsimmons (Nic), JR Weber (Serina), Gary Pacheco, Luis Pacheco, Rocco Pacheco, Sonny Ray Roybal, Manuel Roybal, Joseph Roybal, Gianni Pacheco, and Nevaeh Garcia. Her great-grandchildren, Dominic (Celeste), Isaac, Luis, Anthony, Sophie, Alec, and Brooke. Also to be expecting soon, a great great-grandchild! Her brothers and sisters, Pauline, Doris, Reuben, & Donnie, 22 Godchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her husband Louis, she is predeceased by her great-grandson Gabriel, her brothers Claude Jr., Louis, Lloyd & Patrick and her sisters Rosalie, Anita, Gloria Jean and Lucille. A Rosary service will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 7PM at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80227. A Funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Light of the World Catholic Church, 10316 W. Bowles Ave. Littleton, CO 80127.
