Rosalie Woerpel

Rosalie Woerpel passed away at Elms Haven Center on September 16, 2022, at the age of 81.  She lived a fulfilling life as a mother, grandmother, sister, wife and friend.  She graduated from Nederland High school and went on to earn a nursing degree.  She enjoyed a long, loving marriage to Merlin.  She retired from Mervyn’s after working in the jewelry department for many years.  She enjoyed going to the mountains, painting ceramics, making blankets, and watching Law and Order.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Woerpel, daughter, Denise Woerpel, 3 grandchildren, Crysta, Justina, and Valerie, and 1 great grandchild, Dean.  She is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and her husband Merlin.

Funeral Services will take place at Horan & McConaty in Thornton on Monday September 26th at 11 AM with a viewing at 10:30 AM.  Burial services will be in Bennett, CO at Mount View Cemetery following the service.  If you would like to, please donate in her name to the Cancer League of Colorado ( Donate | Cancerleague )   instead of sending flowers.
