Rose Corsa

Rose Mary Corsa, 95, of Denver Colorado, passed away on December 4, 2020. Rose was preceded in death by the love of her life Larry Corsa, and her sister Evelyn Johnson Surviving is her son Preston Corsa and his spouse Ki and her children Daniel and Mathew, daughter Dianne Dwyer, and her spouse Patrick and grandchildren Daniel, Sean and Megan (Dwyer) Sikkenga and her great grandchild Oliver Sikkenga born to David and Megan just this past September.

Rose was born to Charles & Josephine (Paulino) Barone on April 11, 1925 in Welby, Colorado. Rose earned a Bachelor in education from Northern Colorado University. It was at UNC where he met the love of her life Larry Corsa.

Rose and Larry spent the first years after graduating teaching school in Wyoming.  Rose was a grade school teacher her entire career in education and retired to become a homemaker.  She was a stay at home mom until she became an Avon Sales Rep. when her children were in junior high and high school.  Rose was an amazing mother devoted to her children.  She also loved being grandma to Daniel Sean and Megan, even making trips to Michigan to spend time with her grandchildren after the Dwyer family moved from Colorado.

"Rose and Larry were known for their love of the Denver Broncos. During football season,  "snacks" were always ready before game time so that they could watch the Bronco's uninterrupted.

The visitation will be held for immediate family only as a virtual online viewing will be held Wednesday December 16, 2020 at 2 P.M.  The funeral service will be held in the summer of 2021 at Horan and McConaty Funeral Service 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO at a time to be announced. A private committal ceremony will take place at Ft. Logan following the funeral service.
