Rose Mary Larimore of Lakewood, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, three days short of her 79th birthday. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 7, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 8, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 9405 W. Florida Ave. Interment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband. Rose Mary Calelly was born on April 5, 1930, in Atkinson, Nebraska. After graduating from St. Joseph High School in Atkinson, she moved to Denver in 1948, where she started her career working for the local telephone company in downtown Denver. It was while working there that she met Gerald R. Larimore, and on September 29, 1952, they were married in Las Vegas, New Mexico. During her career, she obtained a real estate license, and was an accounting technician with the Federal Government, from which she retired after twenty-five years of service in March, 1997. In November, 2008, Rose Mary moved to Montrose, Colorado, to be closer to her daughter. Rose Mary and Jerry enjoyed frequenting the Trocadero Ballroom at the old Elitch Gardens and dancing to the sounds of the big bands who used to play there. They also enjoyed an occasional trip to Las Vegas (Nevada). Rose Mary was an avid seamstress and belonged to several sewing circles. She was very fond of animals and always had a Pug snorting around the house. Rose Mary is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Tomsic (Jim), and granddaughter, Ashley Tomsic.
