Rose Marie McGinn

Passed away March 13, 2017. Born July 25, 1932 to Allene Thornetta Crame & Jesse Benjamin Luther. Rose graduated from Farmington High School in 1950, received a nursing degree from the University of Denver/ Presbyterian Hospital in 1953, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loretto Heights/Regis College in 1967, and a Masters of Science in Nursing from University of Colorado in 1969. Rose married Donald Eugene McGinn on 11/9/1954 in Denver, CO. They had met on a blind date. Rose liked to garden, read, oil painting landscapes, go for walks, work on crossword puzzles and she had a coin collection. She enjoyed nutrition and health, caring for people, nature, her kids and especially her grandkids and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Richard (Jennifer Kerr-McGinn) and Diana McGinn; grandchildren, Ryan Donald (Megan) McGinn, Kathleen Erin McGinn (Daniel) Sorensen and Delaney Marie McGinn; great grandchildren, Elizabeth McGinn, Mallory McGinn, Adelyn Rose Sorensen and Luke Aaron Sorensen; and sister, Pauline Luther Bledsoe. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald; and brother, Clyde H. Luther. Visitation will be Monday, March 20, 2017, 4-6pm followed by Rosary, 6pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017, 11am at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church, 7400 West 80th Avenue, Arvada. Interment to follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
