Rosemarie Ann (Weibel) Edrich
Born February 28, 1935 and passed away August 25, 2024. She was a beautiful kind loving presence in the lives of so many.
Born and raised in Hoven, South Dakota, she was the first born of John and Ottilia Weibel. She attended Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota where she received her degree in nursing. She married Arnold (Arnie) J. Edrich on May 22, 1956, and moved to Denver, Colorado where they raised six children. Arnie passed away in 2013. She is survived by five children, John Edrich, Dawn (Marty) Straley, Mary Edrich (John Jeffers), Rick Edrich (Heather Reddy), and Kathy Edrich (Alan Resnick); seven grandchildren, Kristin Edrich, Matt Edrich, Megan Straley, Tim Straley, Cecilia Jeffers, Becky (David) Hopkins, and Rachel Edrich (Matt Luizza); and five great grandchildren, Remy Hopkins, Margot Hopkins, Daniel Hopkins, Juniper Luizza, and Conifer Luizza. Also left to mourn her are her brother Jack Weibel, sister Betty (Weibel) Kenny, brother-in-law Duane (Annie) Edrich, sister-in-law Mickey (Edrich) Bray, sister-in-law Joanne (Edrich) Kendrick, sister-in-law Mary Edrich, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Arnie, son David Edrich, grandson Mark Edrich, daughter-in-law Pam Edrich, her parents and many beloved in-laws in a large extended family.
Rosemarie worked full-time as an RN for many years at St Anthony Hospital in Denver. She was an amazing pianist and had a beautiful singing voice. She was active with the local Sweet Adeline singing organization for several years. She loved a variety of music, barbershop, classical, American Songbook, country and many other varieties. She loved to travel, be it abroad or driving trips. She loved going out for a drive, long road trips or just around town. One of her favorite things in life was keeping updated on events of every friend, family member and all of their friends. Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Hoven was a very important part of her youth and was always an important part of her. She was a devout member and supporter of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Denver for over 50 years.
She was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation and Rosary will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral Mass will follow starting at 2:00 pm, both at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, CO 80219. A reception and gathering to celebrate Rosemarie will follow at 4:00 pm at Holiday Inn Denver-Lakewood, 7390 W. Hampden Avenue.
Burial will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at a later date.
