Rosemary C. Connor, 74, of Greenwood Village, Colorado, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Rosemary's strength and courage were an inspiration to all who knew her and to many who just passed through her life. She was a woman of incredible faith, hope and love and had a wonderful sense of humor about her. An ardent sports fan particularly for her beloved alma mater, Penn State University, where she was also a Beta Upsilon Alumna of Sigma, Sigma, Sigma and season ticket holder for many years of the Denver Broncos. Rosemary was born in Clairton, Pennsylvania and, through marriage, moved to Warminster, Pennsylvania and later to Greenwood Village, Colorado, where she resided until her death. She was the wife of J. Eugene Connor; mother of Tom Connor and Carolyn Luzader; grandmother to Sarah Shumate Connor; sister of Paulette J. Rote and Frank A. Staropoli; godmother to Natalie Staropoli, as well as aunt to both Natalie and her twin Nannette Staropoli. With dignity and grace, she was fortunate to be an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas More Catholic Church for 20 years. She served as President of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra Guild from 1999-2000, and was Volunteer of the Year 1992-1993. Rosemary was an avid Symphony supporter, patron and concert attendee. She was honored with a Lifetime Membership in 1991. She had a passion for music and enjoyed all genres of theater. She was a collector and crystal enthusiast and member of The Swarovski Crystal Society. Rosemary was active in numerous charitable organizations, including Partner in Hope, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Our family wishes to thank Agape Healthcare, who provided Hospice care, and her loving and compassionate caregivers - Dora Ojeda, Gai Shane, Nancy Shaull and Minda Elina for their efforts to keep Rosemary comfortable until the very end. Visitation to be held Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block to the west of Holly Street) in Centennial, Colorado. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S. Quebec Street, in Centennial, Colorado. No flowers please.
