Rowena Yap Shoeib

Rowena Yap Shoeib, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on December 11, 2019 in Aurora, Colorado.

Rowena was born in Cebu, Philippines to Jose Bustillo and Jomina Yap on February 5, 1974. A kind-hearted and adventurous young woman, Rowena traveled to Lamar, Colorado in 1992 to marry Karl Sanders, and together, gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Irene in 1995. Later in life, Rowena married Wael Shoeib, and was blessed again with another beautiful daughter, Salma, in 2011. Rowena served the United States Postal Service for over 20 years, as well as studied nursing. Rowena dedicated her life to serving the Lord and being with her loving daughters. She will be remembered by her friends and family as kind, fun loving, strong, and determined. To those closest to her, she will be dearly missed, yet fondly remembered.

Rowena is preceded in death by her mother, Jomina Yap, and her father, Jose Bustillo. Memorial Service will be held at Horan & McConaty Chapel in Aurora, Colorado on December 27, 2019 at 2 pm, followed by a remembrance reception (directions to the reception will be provided at the memorial service).
