ROY W JONES, M.D. Dr. Jones was born in Hennessy, Oklahoma on July 26, 1931 and passed away September 10, 2013 in Boulder, Colorado. He graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School in 1958 and served his two year service under the doctor draft law at the Federal Reformatory in Chillicothe, Ohio. In 1965 he completed a four year residency in Otolaryngology at Ohio State University and began his private medical practice in Denver, Colorado which continued for thirty-seven years. His primary hospitals were Porter Memorial and Swedish Medical. Roy's extensive hobbies included travel, photography, jazz, jeeping, world-class scrabble games, audio-books and JOKES! He is survived by his lovely wife, Donna Rae, one sister, Wilma Hepker, his brother, Norval Jones, one daughter, Sheryl Kay, two sons, Byron and Russell Jones, 6 grandchildren and one new great granddaughter. A third son, Milton Jones, passed away in 1999. His final memory was the Tchaikovsky Concerto #1 in B flat minor played live by the Boulder Philharmonic-a fitting conclusion to a memorable life. He will be missed by all who were privileged to know him. A Memorial Services will be held September 30, 2013 at 11:30 AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado.
