Roy Niyork, Jr.

Roy Edward Niyork Jr, 76, died in Denver, Colorado on August 22nd, 2020 of heart complications.

Roy was born January 28, 1944 in Denver, Colorado.  He moved to California in his youth, and went from high school to the Air Force.  After his years of service to his country, he moved back to Colorado.   He worked for many years for Dow Chemical, and then as a courier.  He was a longstanding member of the Catholic Church, and devoted to his faith.

Roy leaves behind his wife Rebecca Rios Niyork, his son Christoper Robin Niyork (Sarah), his grandchildren Dylan and Kiara, as well as many in his extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ester Russo Wanless and Roy Edward Niyork Sr.  He is also preceded in death by his grandson Justin.

Roy was a gentle and caring man, who was always willing to help those in need.  He and Rebecca nursed her sister Terry Ann through a long illness, and he did it every day with love and joy.  This willingness continued throughout his life, and he helped many of his family members when they needed it most.

Roy was well loved in his community.  He helped many of his neighbors in their daily care and his concern was greatly appreciated by all.

There will not be a public service, but Roy will be interred at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
