Roy A. Raney of Denver, died Sept. 21, 2007. He was 72. Born May 11, 1935 in Brookfield, Missouri, he was the son of V.M. and Opal Marie Raney. In his early years he was in radio and TV media. For 40 years he worked in the public affairs of National Jewish Hospital retiring in 1995. He was a life member of ARRL and QCWA; held a general and amateur extra radio license K0OVQ; radio officer of former RACES and Denver Civil Defense; longtime member of The Denver Press Club. He is survived by wife, Jean and son, Ross, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. There will be no service.
