Ruby Lee Antonio, 83 of Littleton, Colorado, passed away peacefully with her family by her side August 14, 2019. Ruby was born on November 7, 1935 in San Angelo, Texas.
Ruby was beyond outstanding, she worked as a personal trainer and fitness instructor for many years and became one of the first female aerobic instructors. She owned her own Olympus Fitness Center from 1980 to 1988 where she coached many through competitions including her own family. Ruby was also honored with several YMCA awards for her diligent work and amazing leadership.
Ruby was known as the matriarch of her family, she paved a successful pathway for her family, and created a very impressionable legacy. During her free time, she enjoyed hiking, skiing, traveling, biking, swimming, going to the movies, watching crime drama shows, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Frank Antonio; children: Michelle (Vince) O'Brien, Roni Antonio, and James (Jennifer) Antonio; grandchildren: Zachary Antonio, Luke Antonio, Gage Antonio, Jake O'Brien, Jordan Antonio, Danny O'Brien, Stavia Boisits, and Samantha Antonio; siblings: Ann Jackson and Al Hill. She is preceded in death by sister: Alberta ""Buddy"" Jackson.
In honor of Ruby, a Memorial Service will be held, 1:00pm, Friday August 30, 2019 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home (5303 East County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122) reception to follow immediately after service.
