Rudolph Peter Andras

September 10, 1930 — October 26, 2018

Rudolph “Rudy” Andras, age 88, passed away on October 26, 2018 in Aurora, Colorado. Rudy was born September 10, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Paul and Mary Andras. On March 11, 1951, Rudy married the love of his life, the late Mary Ruth Duschen. The loving couple remained together for 57 wonderful years. Rudy served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, being honorably discharged in 1953. He received a Korean Service Metal for his service to our country. For a professional career, Rudy successfully founded and operated ‘Rudy's Roofing' company, until his retirement in 1992. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Rudy was an avid and loyal Chicago Cubs baseball fan. He waited for years to see them win the World Series (which finally happened in 2016). Fishing served as a major pastime, hobby and love of Rudy's; his only enemies were fish! Rudy was always fun, silly and up for a game of rummy! He deeply cared for his family and friends. Rudy will be truly missed.

Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Andras, his wife, Mary Ruth Andras, and his siblings, Joe, Paul, Marian, and Josephine. Rudy is survived by his son Rudy Andras Jr., daughter-in-law Midge, daughter Pamela Bruin, son-in-law Gary, daughter Beth Morgan, son-in-law Jim, son Joe Andras, daughter-in-law Carol, 31 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and his sister, Pauline Goodchild.
