Russell Anthony Plucinski was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 23, 1947 to Richard A. Plucinski and Geraldine (Bieszke) Plucinski, and passed away at his home in Denver, Colorado on March 19, 2017 at age 69. Russell was married to Jeanie (Hild) Plucinski on July 24, 1970. His career in education included teaching at De La Salle High School in Michigan, teacher and principal at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School, in Michigan, and in Denver, teacher and principal at the Marian Academy, principal at Holy Family Grade School and Director of Religious Education, teacher of Religious Education at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and was a volunteer teacher for 10 years, teaching Braille at the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. He is survived by his wife, Jeanie, his mother Geraldine Plucinski, his children, Sharon (Edward) Starcher, Robert (Dee) Plucinski, Marianne (Sergio) Martinez, Paula Plucinski, John Paul (Jennie) Plucinski, Mark (Nichole) Plucinski, Anthony (Rachael) Plucinski, Tobias (Andrea) Plucinski, David Plucinski, Andrew (Amanda) Plucinski, and Lucia (Ryan) Smith. He is also survived by two brothers, Timothy (Carol) Plucinski and Gary (Karen) Plucinski, and grandchildren, Zachery Starcher, Ashton Starcher, Audrey Starcher, Audrey Plucinski, Heston Plucinski, Cynthia Martinez, Sergio Martinez, Xavier Martinez, Skylar Martinez, Elisa Plucinski, Nathan Plucinski, Cecilia Plucinski, Tristen Plucinski, Elijah Plucinski and Ashley Plucinski. Russell was preceded in death by his father, Richard Anthony Plucinski and his daughter Audrey Plucinski. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 22nd, 5PM â 7PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue (80th & Wadsworth) followed by the Rosary at 7PM. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, March 23rd, 9:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 7595 Federal Blvd. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
