Russ was also a musician, he played the trumpet in high school and renewed his love for band music in Colorado where he joined several community bands and performed many holiday and celebratory concerts. Russ loved Christmastime, especially being together with family enjoying a meal. He lived a busy, full life. He was warm, generous, and his sense of humor brightened the room in a snap.
