Ruth G. Arroyo

November 22, 1928 — February 26, 2012

Ruth G. Arroyo, 83 years of age, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on February 26, 2012. A girl is born and is destined to become a mother. She grows up with a loving mother and a distant father serving in a foreign navy. They are not a family that one would think of in an idealistic way, but it is good enough and fertile ground to produce one of the best women on the planet. She grows up during fascist times from first her country, then another. Seeking another life, the woman flees west and finds sanctuary there. It is there that she lives with her reconnected family, minus the father, of whom, had his own callings. Sadly, it was not with them. It is from there another family is arising. Meeting the love of her life, it is on that note that a journey to a land across the ocean begins. In the brave new land, she finds that it is not all she imagined, but it is good enough to start a new life and family. From the mid Twentieth Century, a bloom occurs. A new family is created in the blessed time of the Lord. Two more girls and a boy are the result of all. Indifference causes ripples and not all is idealistic, but it is not the worst of all possible lives, and therefore, life continues. The family reunites, but unfortunately, it is short lived and disbanded, once again. A small canine makes life a better thing until the inevitable happens and the family loses another member. It is on that note that the family carries on a land close to another ocean. Mother nature deals blows of sorts and a family reunites in a land of mountains. It is there that many challenges await evermore. Getting used to the situation, the woman and her family approach the brave new century, decade and millenium, all in one. During this time, two more depart from this life. The father and one girl, a daughter, ascend to eternity thrice days apart from each other and many miles away from either. Despite this sad turn of events, the woman and her remaining kin carry on. Making do within many more challenges, the woman leads the way, providing light, love and hope to all. She touches many in special ways for the woman was never a materialist and never asked for much. Consequently, she never receives much, but they are things that do not matter much, so it is not a consideration. From watching her boy doing many things, occupations in many areas, leading labor disputes, and getting a higher education, to seeing her girl as she finds a true love and creating three girls of her own in the process. It is where she finds herself now. Surrounded by loved ones, praying for the best for her. They are sad, naturally. However, she also instilled strength, of which, she had in abundance. The woman never wanted pity and was a person upon her own. She never needed more than to see her close ones happy and prosperous and that is fulfilled to a major degree. Never perfect nor absolutely despondent, the woman did her best and to most, that is good enough. She has lived, loved and accomplished so much in life that is really important, not as what the world perceives. And that is why she is...A Mother Indeed! ~ Michael Arroyo ~ February 21, 2012 A Memorial Service for Ruth will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, March 5, 2012 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E.
