Ruth Agnes Fiest

Ruth Agnes Fiest, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on December 9, 2012 at her home at Quincy Place, in Denver, Colorado. Ruth, mother of Terry J. and Tony D Fiest, was born Ruth Agnes Stead on December 30, 1918 in Anaconda, Montana to parents Mary Marsden and Earnest Stead. Her mother passed away when her sister Marilyn was born in 1926. Ruth graduated from high school in 1938 and married Anton Peter Fiest on August 19 in Anaconda, Montana. In 1939 her father married Florence Henderson, who she would grow to know as her mother. Her first son Terry was born in 1942, her second son Tony was born in 1946. She moved to Denver in 1962 where she worked at CU Medical Center until she retired in 1980. Ruth and Anton celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1998. Ruth is survived by her son, Terry and his wife Bobbie; son, Tony and his wife Linda; grandsons Rob and Rick Fiest, granddaughters Tammy Russ, Jamie Harris and Kim Madden; step-grandchildren Chad and Christy Allen, and fourteen great-grandchildren. Ruth, affectionately known as ""Nan"", was a loving and compassionate mother, devoted to her family. Everywhere her journey through life took her, she touched the hearts of many with her humor and spirit. She made life-long friends and was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Horan McConaty , at 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, Colorado.
