She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John Zimmer, and his sons, John and Kent. An online guest registry is available at www.horancares.com. Ruth was a proud second generation Colorado native where she lived most of her life. Her parents farmed off of 32nd Avenue near Rolling Hills Country Club. They moved to the city when she was 11 years old where she attended Skinner Junior High and North Denver High School. She began working for Ideal Cement Company after high school and was married to her beloved husband, Rex, in 1948. They celebrated 65 years of marriage last March. Ruth was a devoted ""stay-at-home"" mother and enjoyed traveling, raising poodles, reading, and many forms of handicrafts. After the children left home she worked as a dental technician for 17 years before retiring.
