Ruth Elizabeth Mabe

Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth McCloud Mabe was born March 30, 1926 to her parents Willie David McCloud and Estella Crockett McCloud in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Ruth had eleven siblings Margaret Hood, Delores Hale, Neomi Sewell, Jessie Brim, Luther McCloud, Russel McCloud, twins G. Grant and Lee McCloud, Donald McCloud, Verable McCloud, and Douglas McCloud . Ruth attended school in North Carolina and married Jesse Franklin Mabe Jr. in 1946. As a military family, they travelled extensively settling in Aurora, CO. with their two sons, Thomas and Michael Mabe. Ruth became a Practical Nurse and for years provided in-home care to many patients. Ruth was rushed to the hospital on February 28th where she was diagnosed with blood clots in the lungs and cancer throughout her body. She was transferred to a nursing home, receiving round the clock medical and hospice care, where, after a brief stay, she passed very peacefully. Ruth was preceded in death by her son Michael, her ex-husband Jesse Mabe Jr. and all but two of her siblings. She is survived by her sisters Jessie Brim and Delores Hale, her son Thomas and his wife Patricia Mabe, their children- IIy Mabe, Ashley Mabe, and Lacey Mabe, and Great Grandchildren: Christopher Arellano, Anthony Sanchez, Samuel Alvarez II, Isaiah Sanchez, Izabella Sanchez, Ezra Alvarez, Sebastian Alvarez, and Ejliah Alvarez as well as good friends Mrs. Lovett, Mrs.Terry, Sheryl Crockett and others.
