Ruth Deanne Purcell

Ruth Deanne Purcell (nee Balcomb) June 29, 1929 - October 22, 2007 Ruth, better known to her family as Diane or Dee Dee, was born in Youngstown, Ohio, to her father, the late Warden Atherholt Balcomb, and her mother the late Katherine Elizabeth Boone Balcomb. Diane was the loving wife of the late Joseph Vincent Purcell, and the dedicated, proud, and loving mother of six children, Stephen Vincent (Loretta) Purcell of Aurora, Colorado, Patricia Lucienne (Charles Patrick) Eckert of 100 Mile House, British Columbia, Canada, Richard Warden Purcell of Murrieta, California, Karen Lee Purcell of Aurora, Colorado, the late Deanne Marie Hosier of Aurora, Colorado, and Debra Ann Purcell of Aurora, Colorado. Diane is also survived by her sister, Patricia Jane (Emory) Bedenbaugh of Bishopville, South Carolina. She was very proud of her grandchildren Kristen Deanne Caruso of Bloomfield, Connecticut, Kyle Vincent Purcell of Greeley, Colorado, Brooke Lindsay Purcell, of Palo Alto, California, Erin Dablain Caruso of New Britain, Connecticut, Jennifer Caitlin (Bernardino) Jones of Aurora, Colorado; great~grandchildren George Purcell, Xander Hayden Jones, and Xavier Samuel Cruz; and step~grandchildren Nicole Mann, Cristy Shephard and Naomi Ziona Margaret Eckert. Diane lived a life of dedication to her family. She rejoiced with tears at our every triumph and supported us with her tears through all our trials. She, and our father raised us with dignity, honesty, grace and laughter. Lots of laughter. All families, especially large ones, have their ups and downs. We will forever cherish our indelible memories growing up in a house full of love and laughter, anguish over difficulties, and joy over our triumphs, all handled with laughter. Mom... we will forever miss you. You are now safe with dad and Dee Dee by your side. We love you Memorial Service was Friday, October 26, 2007, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E.
