Ruth Starr Simunick was born November 26, 1923 in Aliquippa, PA, a small steel mill town outside of Pittsburgh. She was married in 1946 to Bob Simunick also of Aliquippa. Ruth traveled many places due to Bob's job as a petroleum engineer. They eventually settled in Lakewood, Colorado. Ruth had many talents. She was a stay at home mom, but loved to do volunteer work in the PTA. She also volunteered at Phillips United Methodist Church, and was active at Heritage United Methodist Church. She eventually had a silk flower design business out of her home. She had many friends and she and Bob traveled with them often. However, her favorite part of her life was her family. She was a beloved and devoted wife to Bob, mother to Barbara and her husband Bryan, and grandmother to Chelsea. She is loved and missed. She will always be in our hearts.
