Ruth (Russell) Skeen was born in Fairbury, Nebraska on August 7, 1923. She was the youngest of seven (7) children. She had three (3) brothers: Zig, Dutch and Willis and three (3) sisters: Mima, Edna and Jesse. After high school, she moved to Denver, Colorado where she met her husband Richard Skeen. She was the loving mother of Mary Ann, Bobbie, Kittie (Deceased) and Eric. She was blessed with seven (7) grandchildren and twelve (12) great-grandchildren. Ruth was active in schools and church. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She loved dancing and listening to big band music. Tending to her beautiful rose garden was one of her passions. More than anything, Mommo (as she was affectionately known) loved children, especially babies. She was thrilled when she could spend time with her grand and great-grandchildren. After a lengthy bout with Alzheimers' she passed away peacefully. Her love and strength, even in these difficult times brought her family closer together. Mommo will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was loved and admired by everyone. Ruth will be survived by her husband, three children and 19 grand and great-grandchildren.
