Ruth Timmerman

Denver, Colorado

Ruth Elizabeth Trimble Timmerman, 88, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease, at Clermont Park in Denver. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and she attended the University of Kentucky, for Music and Education.

She married Alden Raymond Timmerman on February 28th 1960, and she and Timm raised two daughters together in Arvada, Colorado where she taught Music and English in Jefferson County Schools, and he pursued a career in insurance. She took a position at Jeppesen Sanderson Aviation, where she was a Chief Customer Service Agent for private pilots for 25 years. After her retirement they realized a life long dream and built a house in Buena Vista, Colorado.

There, Ruth found a love of wildflower photography and many wonderful friends. She later joined a ladies book club and met even more friends. After the diagnosis of Parkinson's, she was active in a support group started by her friend Patricia St. Germain. In 2016 she left her home in the mountains and came to Denver, where she lived close to her two daughters and son-in-law.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alden (Timm) Timmerman and her youngest daughter, Lisa Timmerman.

She is survived by Douglas and Laura Bloss, Bruce and Dale Trimble, and Priscilla and Bill Boller and their children. She will be truly missed by friends and her family.

A Memorial Service will be held for Ruth on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 1:30pm at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227.

In her memory, please make donations to the Parkinson Association of the Rockies, or The Jefferson Symphony.
