Sally A. Giese

Sally, 81, of Arvada, Colorado passed December 17, 2016. Sally was born in the Bronx, New York and was raised in New Jersey. She graduated high school in New Jersey and attended the University of Denver. Sally worked at Sunstrand and AT&T. From there, she retired. She married Ken in 1957 in Tampa, Florida where their first child was born. They moved to Colorado in 1960, had three more children, and built a life in Arvada, Colorado. She loved to play bridge, competed in archery at an international level against archers from all over the world. Sally enjoyed camping and hiking with her family. Sally loved the Lord and volunteered at her church. She was the hub of her family. Sally is survived by her husband of 59 1/2 years, Ken; children, Ken, Jr. (Donna), Sandra, and Kristine; grandchildren, Joshua, Jenna (David) Bosley, Jacob, John, Jessica, Heather Lauer, Joseph Siravo and Anthony Siravo; 7 great grandchildren; and sisters, Caroline and Laurel. Preceded in death by her son, Gary; and brother, Joey. Viewing will begin on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, 10:30 - 11:00 AM, with Funeral Services honoring Sally at 11:00 AM, both at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2100 Wadsworth Boulevard, in Lakewood, Colorado. Interment follows at 2:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Area A, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver, Colorado 80235.
