Sally Anne Pyle

Sally Anne Pyle, 89, of Lakewood, passed away on November 28, 2019 at Lutheran Medical Center. Born on June 17, 1930 in Royal Oak, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Verna (Oliver) Giffels.

She worked as a hospice chaplain for Denver Hospice for many years.

She enjoyed playing the recorder in a variety of groups; hiking with the Colorado Mountain Club; gardening, especially roses; and spending time with long-time friends.
She will be remembered for her generous contributions to charity and civic organizations; for spiritual direction; for her sense of humor; for her amazing house where she lived until the week she died.

Sally is survived by her daughters, Judy Barckholtz and Catherine Forington, her granddaughter, Rachel Barckholtz, many friends and extended family.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Sally's life will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1985 Miller St. Lakewood, CO 80215.
