Salome Rodriguez Alvarez, 62, of Denver passed away on March 22, 2012. Salome is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Garza Alvarez; father, Anastacio Galaviz Alvarez; brother, Raymond Alvarez; sister, Alicia Alvarez; and his nephew, Raymond Gonzales. He is survived by his mother, Catarina Rodriguez Alvarez; his children, Cynthia (Tony) Roberson, Patricia (Jeff) Duncan, April (Cathy) Alvarez, Sunny (Alysha) Alvarez, Salome Alvarez, Michelle (Garza) Hykes and Baby The Dog; his grandchildren, Eric Roberson, Aeneas Roberson, Brandi Alvarez, Sonny Alvarez, Alex Alvarez, Mariyah Alvarez, Jayda Alvarez, Levi Hykes and Morgan Hykes; siblings, Felixitas (Raymond) Gonzales, Olga (Martin) Rodriguez, Katrina (Sammy) Martinez and Emilio (Stella) Alvarez; nieces and nephews, Rebecca (Gonzales) Brewer, Gabriel Gonzales, Augustine Rodriguez, Norma Rodriguez, Samantha (Martinez) Jacop, Crystal (Martinez) Rodriguez, Eleanor (Martinez) Royal, Marilyn (Martinez) Vargas, Shantel Alvarez, Emily Alvarez, Sherri Alvarez, Anastacia Alvarez and Emilio (Frankie) Alvarez; and many, many cousins, great nephews and nieces, friends, nurses and doctors. Salome just retired from Brannan Sand & Gravel Co. in October of 2011 where he was employed for 41 years. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 12pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street in Thornton. Salome's family has asked that if you are attending the service to please wear the color white. Committal Service to follow at 2:15pm, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""C"", located at 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard in Denver. A reception will follow the committal service at the home of Auggie Rodriguez & Garth Garrett located at 6824 W. Cornell Ave, Denver, CO 80227.
