Samuel Ortiz

Samuel Ortiz, 84 years old, passed away Tuesday October 25. He was a long term employee of the Post Office & Firestone. He was born in Water Vail, CO, and lived in Trinidad, Los Angeles & spent the last 50 years as a Denver resident. Sam is remembered for his WWII military service, & for being a loving husband, father & grandfather. He is the last child of his generation & will be greatly missed by his family & friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Louise Ortiz, who he lost in July 2011 & by his eldest child Margo Ortiz Anzaldo, who passed February 2011. He is survived by his children, Della Antista-Finkelstein, John Ortiz, & Samantha Ortiz. In addition, he is survived by his 6 grandchildren, Jessica Anzaldo, Justin Ortiz, Neil Ortiz, Rachel Ortiz, Natalie Antista and Mark Finkelstein and his 2 great grandchildren, Dacia Johnson and Janesa Bonsante. Visitation Thursday, 5PM- 8PM; Funeral Service Friday, 11AM, both at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service, 3020 Federal Blvd. Interment Fort Logan National Cemetery.
