Samuel "Sam" Jones

Samuel “Sam” Joe Jones went home to his lord on June 2nd, 2023 at age 68. Sam was born to Henry and Ardith Jones on February 22nd, 1955 in York, Nebraska. In his younger years, he played football in high school and went on to play college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Sam was a very loving, dedicated father, uncle and grandfather. Above all, Sam was the best husband and he dedicated a lifetime of love and happiness to his late wife Wilma Jones. Sam and Wilma were married for 43 years and had a beautiful relationship. Sam is survived by his 2 children Angela and Joseph. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brittany, Elijah, Karissa, and his 2 great grandchildren Kassandra and Kruz. Sam also had many siblings, Tom, Mary and Sandy. Sam lived an extremely fulfilling life, filled with love and joy. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. Services will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday June 13th.
