Sandra S. Barron

Sandra Sue Emery Barron passed away on April 10, 2020 at Bonaventure Senior and Assisted Living Center in Albany, Oregon. She was born November 30, 1940 in Highland Center, Iowa to Edward Carl and Ruth Maxine Reeves Emery. She was a graduate of Hedrick High School in 1959. She married her high school sweetheart, Ron L. Barron on January 2, 1971 In Las Vegas, Nevada after which they moved to Aurora, Colorado where they resided for over 40 years. Ron and Sandra were very active in the Looking Glass Corvette Club and traveled a lot with the group. In 1986, Sandra joined McGraw-Hill/Standard & Poor's as an Executive Assistant. She retired in 2004 and was active in her community with many groups. She moved to Albany, Oregon in June 2019 to be near her brother Roger and family. Sandra and Roger had many good times together these past few months, reminiscing about the old days, eating meals together, playing cards and Bingo, and purely enjoying their time together. Roger preceded Sandra in death by a few days. Sandra is survived by her very close friends: Barbara Pedersen, Cathy Fielder, Cynthia Cestkowski; sister-in-laws: Denise Emery and Debra Emery; nephews and nieces: Jeff and Cindy Emery, Terry and Melanie Emery, Chris and Kristi Emery, William and Jennifer Emery, David and Denise Emery, and Linda Emery. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron in May 2011; her parents; brothers: Brian L. Emery, Roger L. Emery, Brent C. Emery, Kim T. Emery; and niece Regina Lynn Emery. Sandra will be laid to rest in Ft. Logan Cemetery in Colorado with her husband Ron.
