Sandra Martin Foxley died on July 15 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 64. Born in Chicago to Roger and Skippy Martin, she graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in journalism. In 1963, she married Dennis H. Siems in Boulder before moving to Camp Pendleton, CA, where she was widowed in 1969. Upon returning to Denver, Sandra began a thriving real estate business, developed her lifelong dedication to philanthropy, became an active member of the Junior League and sat on the boards of several Colorado-based non-profit organizations. Ten years after her wedding to William C. Foxley in 1977, the family moved from Denver to La Jolla, CA. Coming home in 1991 gave her the opportunity to indulge her passions for business and community service. Sandra is survived by her daughter, Amy K. Foxley, 42, of Denver, her son, David M. Foxley, 23, of New York, NY, her Brother, Roger Martin of Vero Beach, Florida and many dear friends. Above all, she will be remembered for her positive effect on the lives of everyone she knew. Her generosity, compassion, humor and vitality will be deeply missed. A memorial service for Sandra will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8 at Saint John's Cathedral, 1350 Washington St., Denver. Memorial donations can be made to MaxFund, 1025 Galapago St., Denver, CO 80204-3942; Cat Care Society, 5787 W. 6th Ave., Lakewood, CO 80214; or a Breast Cancer Association of your choosing.
