Sandra Jean Krebs

Sandra ""Sandi"" Jean Krebs (nee Lintz), 74, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Sandi spent her childhood in several western states, culminating in Arizona where she met her future husband, David, in high school. They were married two years later and remained so for the next 54 years. After the wedding in Phoenix, AZ, they honeymooned by driving two vehicles (one pulling a trailer) to Golden, CO, where David finished college. Robert was born the next year and, after two years in Golden, CO, they moved to Kansas where Sandi finished her degree in Education at Pittsburg State University. She then began her lifelong teaching career in Flagstaff, AZ, where Steven was born while David served in Viet Nam. Following this, she taught middle school in Miami, AZ (a tough mining town), Jr. High School in Kayenta, AZ (in the heart of the Navajo reservation), High School science at Beth Jacob High School for Girls in Denver, CO, elementary school in Albuquerque, NM, and, ultimately, 26 years teaching math and language arts at St. Mary's Academy in Englewood, CO. In her spare time, she did drafting and technical illustration for David's mining engineering firm for many years. She also enjoyed her hobbies of painting, needlepoint, and other crafts, as well as being a voracious reader. Throughout her life, Sandi was a loving wife and mother, caring grandmother, and dedicated teacher. She touched the lives of countless peers, students, and parents. She is deeply missed by her husband, two sons, and four grandchildren, in addition to seven young great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation in memory of Sandi Krebs be sent to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Scholarship Fund, 1401 E. Dry Creek Rd., Centennial, CO 80122.
