Sandra T. Love of Centennial Colorado was called home to Eternal Rest on August 23, 2023 at The Manor on Marston Lake.
She was born on March 21, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio to Edward and Lois Rutkowski.
After Graduating from DeVilbiss High School, she received her RN degree from Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan in 1959.
In Toledo Sandra worked as an RN at Children Hospital, The Toledo Health Department as a Visiting Nurse, and the Toledo Scale Company.
In 1972 she fell in love with Colorado and in early 1973 she moved here permanently.
As an RN Sandra worked at the Tri County Health Department in their Pediatric Clinic and The Maternity Clinic.
In 1981-1982 she completed her education at the University of Colorado Health and Science Center, becoming a Womens Health Care Nurse Practitioner.
Sandra then worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the Tri County Maternity Clinic from 1981 until her retirement
Sandra enjoyed doing presentations. She did many on AIDS and of course taught childbirth classes (LaMaze) for Tri County for 6 years. She received an award for Best Community Service Program from American Cablevision for classes taught and taped for Cable TV.
Sandra had a wonderful sense of humor. She was loved by many and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Sandra was preceded in death by her Beloved Grandparents Bill and llah Cook, her parents Edward and Lois Rutkowski, Sister Barbara Bitzer and her forever friend Mary Ellen Wells.
Left to mourn her loss are her many good friends, including Pam Hare whose devotion these last four months has not gone unnoticed and her Bestie for 60 years Barb Banaszak.
A service will be held at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E County Line, Centennial, CO Thursday August 31, 2023 at 1:00pm
