Sara Caile, beloved wife, mother, and adventurer, passed away peacefully in her sleep on 7/24/2024, surrounded by her family. Born in 1946 in Denver, Colorado, Sara led a life full of wonder, exploration, and spiritual fulfillment.
From an early age, Sara's passion for adventure was evident. She spent many happy days camping with her father, nurturing a lifelong love of the outdoors. This love led her to countless adventures, including a remarkable year spent sailing with her husband when they were young.
In the late 90s, long before it was popular, Sara and her husband built an off-grid home in Roatan, embracing a simpler, more connected way of life. They also made a home in the south of France, where Sara delighted in using the French she had studied so diligently. Back in Colorado, Sara found peace and guidance in her mountain cabin, walking with her spirit guides through the woods.
A deeply spiritual person, Sara was a practicing shaman who traveled to Siberia to further her studies. Her spiritual journey was a significant part of her life, and she touched many lives with her wisdom and compassion.
Sara was not only an adventurer but also an athlete. Whether it was running 10k races, participating in bike races, snow skiing, or water skiing, she could keep up with anyone and inspired many with her energy and enthusiasm.
Sara shared over 50 wonderful years with her devoted husband, exploring the world and building a life of love and wonder. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Sara was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She cherished her time with family. Sara is survived by her husband, her children, and a wide circle of friends who cherished her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Nature Conservancy in Sara's memory.
