Sarah R. Barela November 15, 1941 - March 27, 2016 Sarah, born in Alamosa, Colorado, passed at her home in the company of her family on March 27, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband, Elmer L. Barela; their three children Lynette Barela, Eric Barela, & Kristine Barela; two grandchildren Christopher Acosta & Braeden Wimer; and sister Ramona E. Martinez. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank & Louise Manzanares. Sarah had a deep passion for her family and also enjoyed rooting for the Denver Broncos and bowling. Professionally, she was a Business Owner for her Travel company. A Memorial Service will be held in Sarah's honor on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11AM at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado 80227. Immediately following the Memorial Service, the family invites friends and family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshment at American GI Forum, 1717 Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80204.
