Sarah Elizabeth Farrow of Arvada, Colorado died Friday, April 4, at Lutheran Hospice Collier Center at the age of 82.
Sarah was born March 17, 1943, in Georgetown, Colorado to William N. Tapp and Elizabeth C. Tapp nee Criley.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Mason John Farrow, of Boulder, Colorado.
Sarah received a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado in 1965 and spent most of her adult life working as a writer, creating everything from advertising copy to an inspirational memoir published in 2019, to the murder mystery she was still working on at the time of her death.
Her life's work is equally represented in the family she dedicated herself to. She raised four sons, Christopher John Farrow, Daniel Luke Farrow, William Mason Farrow, and Nicholas James Farrow. Never blessed with a daughter of her own, Sarah welcomed daughters-in-law Taña De Herrera Farrow, Christine Roddy Farrow, and Elizabeth Glass.
She joyfully helped to raise her grandsons, Benjamin River Farrow and Nicholas Robin Farrow.
Sarah was also preceded in death by her brothers, Francis Tapp of Denver and William Tapp of Loveland.
A memorial service will be held at the funeral home of Horan & McConaty, 7577 W 80th Ave., Arvada, CO on Monday, April 14th at 1 pm.
Sarah was a lifelong animal lover, and a constant advocate for animal shelters. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a local animal shelter in her name.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 14th at 1:00pm at the Horan & McConaty Arvada Chapel followed by a reception. Sarah will be laid to rest with her husband at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Wednesday, April 16th at 2:00pm.
