Sue Hopkins of Denver Colorado passed away on February 10th, 2012. She was born in Colorado Springs to George Washington James and Opal Irene Hughes James. Sue is survived by Lew Hopkins, her husband of 54 years; her sons Kurt Hopkins and Keith Hopkins; her daughter-in-law Katrina Hopkins; her grandchildren Miranda Hopkins and Andrew Hopkins, and her sister Mary Flansburg. Sue loved to read, to travel and to dine out with her husband. Over the years, she has worked in many positions; as a ticketing agent for Trans Ocean Airlines in San Francisco, worked at Brentwood Drugs near her home in Denver, and at a downtown bank where she started as a teller and worked up the ladder to a Corporate Loan Officer. For many years, Sue was also a volunteer at the Museum of Nature and Science where she received numerous awards and recognition. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25th at Horan and McConaty, 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd, in Lakewood CO with a reception to follow at the family residence.
