Sarah "Gaye" Ricks Spruell, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024. She leaves a legacy of love, unwavering support, and will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
She was born on January 21, 1945, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Major General Earl Thornton Ricks and Mrs. Hazel Brown Ricks and was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nancy June Bryant and her brother Earl T. Ricks, Jr.
Gaye’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her sons, Mike Spruell, Jr. and his wife, Heather, and Justin Spruell, as well as her treasured grandchildren, Wyatt, Bennett, Greyson, and Fletcher. She also leaves behind her sister Shannon Cammack, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of other cherished family members.
Gaye was a woman of extraordinary warmth and kindness, known for her boundless compassion and her gift for making everyone feel like family. She never met a stranger and was a beloved "mother" to many.
Please join us to celebrate her extraordinary life on Friday, December 27, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas. We will share stories and reminisce about the joy Gaye brought to our lives.
